| hey. thought id update. later. | | |
| My family's goin to Houston tomorrow, so I thought I'd do a quick update before I start packing. I have 5 chapters left in my book. I hope I can finish 'em tonight. Went to meet the teacher today. I'm in the Golden Trailblazers TEAM. I cant think of the other group's name... I know it has the word purple in it. As for my friends, a few of them are in that purple team, but i think most of them are on my team. We'll see when school starts. I'll try to update in Htown if my dad brings his laptop. If not, I'll see yall when school starts next week. Later. | | |
| Here's what happened yesterday. I was originally going to Tyler with some of my family (mall, eat lunch, etc). Then a change of plans. Turns out we were going to a town near Longview and just picking up some statuary to bring back to our store. Nothing else. I was like, "No way, I don't wanna go now." I made the right choice. When they got back to Center, they said that there was only one guy to load the statuary and that they sat in a hot car for 2 hours. About the time they got back, my dad's brothers came over to our house for a family meeting. Our maid, Mrs. Gloria, made some delicious salsa, rice, and charro beans. My dad and I cooked fajitas to go with it. We made a lot of everything, 'cause there were about 12 people there (my dad's from a family of 10, so imagine what Thanksgiving's like... lol).
I changed my background color if you haven't noticed yet. I also got a new profile pic. It's awesome. The site I found it on titles it the "Hunchback of Grand Central." I'm gonna read The Giver again, just so I know it well enough before school starts. It'll be pretty easy reading it a second time. Speaking of reading, Casey told me a few weeks ago that we still have to earn 19 A.R. points every six weeks. Torture! One more thing: Today, I've officially had my Xanga for a month. Yeah! C ya later.
| I got back from Austin yesterday. I'm going to mow the lawn one more time before school starts. Now about my trip...
We got to New Braunfels, checked in to the hotel, and went to this huge outlet mall in San Marcos. Some of the stuff is marked down real low, while others are practically the same price as they were at the real store. You just think you're getting a good deal cause your at an outlet. lol. The next day, we went to Schlitterbahn. One thing sucked: the Master Blaster was "CLOSED DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES!" The rest of the park was awesome, except that it gets very very crowded and the lines get very very long. The next day we went to Austin. My family ate at this pizza joint my cousin manages. Even though the place was sort of ghetto (the kitchen took up more room than the actual restaurant), the pizza was excellent! It's been rated the best in Austin. We ate at this popular Italian restaurant with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. It was a Saturday night so the nightlife was awesome! The clubs were packed and all of downtown seemed like one big party. My parents showed Emily (sister) and I where they used to live and went to college: UT! Longhorns!! Next night, we saw the bats fly out from under Congress Avenue Bridge and stuffed ourselves at T.G.I. Friday's. All in all, it was a great trip.
Well, now I'm back and can't believe how quickly the summer has passed by. School is just half a month away. And subscribe to my site, please. Later.
| My family and I are going to Schlitterbahn and Austin tomorrow. I think we're getting back next Monday. I may update my Xanga on my dad's laptop while I'm gone (as if I'll have the time or want to. It's a vacation, duh... lol). Yes, I know what your thinking: "Not another entry until Monday!! How will I be able to live until then!!" I know, I know... but you can wait. I hope this short update holds yall until then. Later. | | |
